My academic and seminary studies were personal journeys meant to satisfy my deepest curiosity about the meaning of life and, I hoped, make me a better person, more resilient and more fulfilled. However, as there has been an unfortunate rise in violence and extremism in the name of Islam, I have become increasingly active using my knowledge and experience to train law enforcement, civil society leaders, and religious leaders on the narrative of Islamic extremism and the counter theological narrative. I am fortunate to work with a wide group of international partners to do what I can with the skills I have to address this growing threat to our global security. This is my current framework on the topic.
